Designer and Project Manager
Jessica grew up in the mountains of Santa Cruz and spent time exploring the greater state of California and Europe. She started her career and spent more than 5 years in San Francisco designing commercial interiors and high end residences. She returned to Santa Cruz to settle and raise a family.
She brings 15 years of professional experience to Workbench, that spans from residential, retail, restaurant, hospitality and commercial interior design. She believes that good design is achieved by combining the creative process, client needs, and execution through excellent project management skills. After work you will find her exploring her passions for art and movement through the outdoors with her family.
On choosing a career in Architecture:
I’ve been fascinated by buildings since I was a little kid. What really captivates me is the affect form and materials have on people and their everyday lives. Good design can solve problems and evoke emotions in people who use the space.
Why I love Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz is my home town and I love that I have the opportunity to make a difference in the community and built environment that I grew up in. I’m outdoors any chance I get and Santa Cruz is perfect for that. Whether it be surfing, mountain biking or trail running. I get to share all the experiences I had growing up here with my kids.
Outside of Workbench
You will most likely find me on a long trail run, coaching youth sports or leading a cub scout meeting. Any opportunity we get, my family and I like to explore new places and camp in our Westfalia.
