Laura Gray

Accounting Manager

A lover of all things building, from structures to businesses to spreadsheets, Laura brings her entrepreneurial skills, management experience, and construction industry knowledge to the Workbench team (along with an admirably quick email response time!).

With childhood aspirations of being a Roller Derby Queen, Laura has grown up to be many things: thrill seeker, adventurer, mother, grandmother, business owner, and business professional.

On choosing a career in Architecture and Construction

I fell into construction through building my own homes, and started design for the love of it.  I love creating a vision and watching it come to life.

Why I love Santa Cruz

I have lived in Santa Cruz for over 30 years.  This is my home and my love.  I love the variation in landscape from the beach to the mountains.  I love that it is central to skiing, surfing, and all nature of sports.  Our community is also full of variety and I can always find something to do and someone to hang out with.

Outside of Workbench

I love a good book.  If I was free I could easily curl up on the couch and read a book a day!  But you will also find me riding my bike with friends, walking down the harbor to the beach, or having Sunday brunch with a close set of friends.
