Scotts Valley Today
Nestled in the scenic Santa Cruz Mountains just a short drive from both the Silicon Valley and the Pacific Ocean Scotts Valley is filled with local businesses and family-owned shops, warmth and character, and a close-knit, welcoming atmosphere. The city’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and education is evident in its schools, green initiatives, and decades of tech innovation presence. Here, every sunrise through the redwoods feels like a reminder that growth and balance are within reach.
A key piece of Scotts Valley’s future
Under California's Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA), Scotts Valley is required to plan for 1,220 new units by 2031. The city’s 2023-2031 Housing Element, which aligns with state requirements, is planning for significantly more housing, including affordable housing and mixed-use sites, as well as the creation of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
4575 Scotts Valley is a significant step towards the city’s affordable component and the site is well suited for multifamily with good access to amenities, schools, and transportation corridors.
