Talking Architecture and Housing on Zoom Around Town
Workbench's Jamileh Cannon recently joined Jaimi Jansen of Santa Cruz CORE Fitness + Rehab on her video blog and podcast, Zoom Around Town, which focuses on sharing the stories of local Santa Cruz businesses during this unprecedented period of history.
Her silver linings while running a growing firm while sheltering-in place? A new appreciation of coworkers, learning to leverage digital tools to cultivate team camaraderie, and time to be present with her young family.
When asked how the local community can offer support, Jamileh offers a simple call to action- support housing.
“Continue to support housing in our community…Housing is really important, and housing of all kinds is really important. Especially now- there are people out there who will be much worse off after this- it’s going to take longer (for them) to pick up all the pieces, and those are the people who are most in need of shelter.”
