A Note from Workbench

To our community of clients, partners, and friends,

In light of the outbreak of COVID-19 and subsequent government actions, we are reaching out to educate you on our business operations and reassure you of our commitment to your project and our ongoing work.

To protect the health of our community, Santa Cruz County has instituted a Shelter-in-Place Ordinance through April 7, 2020. Accordingly, our physical office at 189 Walnut Avenue is closed for the required period, though we foresee little to no impact on our ability to work and maintain regular business operations.

All Workbench design and administrative team members are working remotely from home and are well-equipped with the technology and resources they need to do their jobs as normal.

For the shelter-in-place period, our meetings with clients and consultants will be held virtually using Zoom or a good old-fashioned phone call. If you currently have a meeting scheduled with your Architect or Project Manager, you will receive information directly from them with conference access details.

In all of the recently sheltered nearby counties, including Santa Cruz County, the construction of housing is considered an essential service. Given this, our construction team is continuing to work on our housing job sites, while adhering to social distancing and other hygiene precautions for their protection and the protection of our subcontractors.

As a local business employing local employees, your support of Workbench and of the many other wonderful independent businesses in our community is appreciated every day, both before this situation and afterwards.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to do business in Santa Cruz, to support our local consultants and subcontractors, to work with our inspiring clients, and to do our part in bringing together our community. Together, we will weather this, and we look forward to the day we get to welcome you back into our office.
